Context:
publisher decided to increase price for this game in Russia from 549 RUB to 6666 RUB (1200% increase), as a way of supporting Ukraine.

Despite of me being Russian, I'm supportive of regular Ukrainian people. I don't feel like anyone wants the war, and this horrible thing must be stopped.

That being said, as a gamer, I always had this point of view that games should be out of politics, and that gamers of the world shouldn't be involved in any of these dirty political games. Evidently, Thing Trunk thinks different. And I can not support a developer/publisher, who's actively alienating a portion of their player base. I feel like in times like these gamers should stand united against war, not divided by actions like this drastic increase in title price.

How about this for a change: if you, as a publisher, support Ukraine so dearly, return the game to the Russian store, but send all the profits from Russian players towards Ukrainian effort.

Doesn't this make much more sense, if you really want to make a political statement?

Drawing a strawman between having the game on the store for Russian players, and shooting civilians is crazy, not gonna lie.

Civilians getting shot in the head isn't a political matter.

The problem is not talking about politics. You are the alienate for thinking like this.

The problems it their hypocrisy and double standards when spewing western (U $) propaganda and thinking they are being the pure and altruist beings.

Neoliberals 101

They don't care about people. They are just doing what is more financially good for them. What is one country "banned from the world" if I can avoid up$et NATO and U$?

If you are really against war, you can't be selective. Are we gonna censor and ban muricas and the british too? I dont think so.

Are we gonna help people from ME or rise awareness about Palestine? I dont think so

Are gonna delete everything and call it russian propaganda? Yep.
Are we gonna continue to treat monarchs or U$ billionaries as celebrities? Yep.

And there are some many things about this war people dont know. It's not a movie with bad and good guys. Both governants sucks and people are paying the price. But why bother, right? Lets just put some flag on our profile picture and BOOOM, done.

Developers who think they are smart in explaining to us that they are against Russian propaganda, while they themselves are drowned in pro-Western and pro-Ukranian propaganda, are simply either stupid or malicious (the increase insane price of the game for Russians is outrageous).
Games are made precisely to allow us to escape from reality for a moment and to have fun. It's not a place (it's even the last place) to do politics.

The fiercest casualty of war, aside from civilians of course, is the truth.

Sincerely.

@Amplify Oh I did read it, thank you for your instructive input.

That comment is so dumb and uninformed, I can't even.
Not that you'll ever read this, since the OP just deletes everyone's comments.

Games have always been political and you have to understand why this is being done. It is done to piss you off so that you would go out there and rise against your government. Sorry, I know, it sounds extreme and dumb, but it is what it is.

Hold in there, it is rough I get that, but we have to hope that one day it will all go back to normal. A single tyrant can't be in control forever.
