@Battle Hoovy
Glad to see you're improving it. I'd also suggest changing the phong on a few parts such as the knobs so they don't look like they're made of plastic.

I'm actually working on improving the model based on some feedback. There are parts of the model where there are too many faces clustered together, resulting in messed up smoothing. I'm going through the model and removing those by hand. I also redid the tank because I made a mistake and the tank I had built suddenly started displaying inside out.

@stark
Well, yeah; it's a portable dispenser, of course it's going to look like it was built using dispenser parts (also no sentries were harmed in the making of this model)
Clockwork Brain  [author] 6 Jun, 2018 @ 8:42pm
Huh. Seem like everybody who has an opinion on the stats says that it's either OP or that it's terrible. I did give limits to the weapons abilities (Regenerates ammo rather than infinite, half the heal rate of a level 1 dispenser, etc.) Because I am aware just how powerful having a personal ammo supply at the ready can be. If it ends up being OP, they could have the ammo work like healing (restores less ammo while firing, and more when you haven't been firing fir awhile). I fail to see hiw the weapon could be considered underpowered , however. After all, the engineer still has his secondary and his sentry gun.
AKFrags! 6 Jun, 2018 @ 6:19pm
I think the stats of the weapon are neat the model is just peices of the dispenser and sentry and such it looks more like it's from Gmod than a gun in TF2.

Now we don't even need to choose between being a medic main or engi main!
Prism Tank 6 Jun, 2018 @ 7:46am
good concept but it seems too OP
Clockwork Brain  [author] 5 Jun, 2018 @ 4:40pm
made some SFM posters. turns out the dispenser texture in SFM has a higher resolution than in game. this means that the texture issue can easily be fixed by the TF team simply by copying the VTF from the SFM dispenser.
Clockwork Brain  [author] 5 Jun, 2018 @ 4:01pm
actually, the main reason the textures look that way is my graphics card.
SleepyNotDead 4 Jun, 2018 @ 3:16pm
amzing concept but the textures and model need ALOT of polishing..
MrFlaptastic 3 Jun, 2018 @ 4:39pm
Gr8 m8, no deb8. Can't w8 for it.
Mouse (commission's open) 3 Jun, 2018 @ 4:39pm
@author if you woud somehow port the model to gmod i coud get some cool looking prewievs on how it will look
Clockwork Brain  [author] 3 Jun, 2018 @ 4:34pm
i actually made the majority of the model myself; I didn't get the idea to just take models from the dispenser until the very end.
you are right about the textures; I actually used the same material files as the dispenser.
and yeah, I started off with too low a polly count, especially for the round objects. I also had some ideas come to me later on in this thing's development, so I might end up making a version 2.0 sometime in the future.
MrFlaptastic 3 Jun, 2018 @ 2:44pm
Textures and models are just taken from the dispencer. Nothing wrong with that, it's just that the dispenser's texture and model is low quality.
Mouse (commission's open) 3 Jun, 2018 @ 12:30pm
why didnt noeone think of this sooner ???
Smiley42 3 Jun, 2018 @ 7:45am
this is a cool weapon man, your concept is pretty good as the model, could be more refined but hey, its good enough
Clockwork Brain  [author] 3 Jun, 2018 @ 7:06am
@vector
I don't recal the name, but I got it from Game Banana under the UI section.
Loving Wound 2 Jun, 2018 @ 10:19pm

Huh a dispencer based shotgun, good idea
Adobe? 22 May, 2018 @ 9:25am
I like the concept of a shotgun based on the dispenser. I look forward to seeing where it goes.
Michael4201 20 May, 2018 @ 3:53pm
i really like the model and stats im sure at some point somone will be able to help you get the texture done
AK74QTDN 18 May, 2018 @ 4:40pm
Very weird but cool weapon
Wizard(s) 18 May, 2018 @ 1:38pm
The paper gun, like it!
ガーフィールド 18 May, 2018 @ 12:14pm
nice job modeling that, good luck
Clockwork Brain  [author] 18 May, 2018 @ 8:20am
updated with images of the model. I had to convert the screenshots to PNG images, because for some odd reason valve thought it was a good idea to save screenshots as TGA images that can't be submitted to the workshop
in the balls 18 May, 2018 @ 6:56am
I'd help, contact me
BossBTL 17 May, 2018 @ 11:41pm
post a picture of the model, even if it is textureless. atleast then ill take you seriously.
Loving Wound 17 May, 2018 @ 7:53pm
The concept art looks interesting, so I'm interested to see what the final product would look like.

The suggested stats are interesting, but I think the lack of a way to fight offensively would really hurt this weapon and make it underpowered. I think your suggested primary fire should be moved to the alt fire that slowly recharges(like a dispensor) instead of being based on ammo and the primary should just be like the regular shotgun. The damage penatly and weapon Starts at 25 ammo and is unaffected by weapons lockers should be removed as well. I think the lack of a dispensor and less metal from all sources are already pretty hefty downsides.
This would allow for a more frontlines and supportive Engineer instead of a hunker down and defend engineer.
Raptor from Fortnite 17 May, 2018 @ 4:40pm
Great Art! I like the Concept!
Mystic Monkey 17 May, 2018 @ 4:09pm
As someone who wishes they have the skills to render models and submit quality items to the workshop, I'm sorry that you had to resort to submitting an unfinished piece.

But you said you had the model and texture, just couldn't put them together? If you asked in the TF2 discussions or other TF2 modding communities who can guide you on finishing your model.
Hyperborean Mexican 17 May, 2018 @ 3:31pm
BEFORE submitting something to the workshop, please at least finish it first.
Xycelium 17 May, 2018 @ 3:24pm
okay.
1. If you have a model, why don't you have a screenshot of it?
2. The TF2 Team makes the stats for accepted weapons.
3. While this is a neat concept for a weapon, this isn't really the place for it nor uncompleted work.
If you really wanted to get some progress done on this weapon I recommend you going to Facepunch, finding the TF2 section, and going to the Emporium to look for some help.
