Glad to see you're improving it. I'd also suggest changing the phong on a few parts such as the knobs so they don't look like they're made of plastic.
Well, yeah; it's a portable dispenser, of course it's going to look like it was built using dispenser parts (also no sentries were harmed in the making of this model)
you are right about the textures; I actually used the same material files as the dispenser.
and yeah, I started off with too low a polly count, especially for the round objects. I also had some ideas come to me later on in this thing's development, so I might end up making a version 2.0 sometime in the future.
I don't recal the name, but I got it from Game Banana under the UI section.
what's that hud you use where the life bar is the game's logo?
The suggested stats are interesting, but I think the lack of a way to fight offensively would really hurt this weapon and make it underpowered. I think your suggested primary fire should be moved to the alt fire that slowly recharges(like a dispensor) instead of being based on ammo and the primary should just be like the regular shotgun. The damage penatly and weapon Starts at 25 ammo and is unaffected by weapons lockers should be removed as well. I think the lack of a dispensor and less metal from all sources are already pretty hefty downsides.
This would allow for a more frontlines and supportive Engineer instead of a hunker down and defend engineer.
But you said you had the model and texture, just couldn't put them together? If you asked in the TF2 discussions or other TF2 modding communities who can guide you on finishing your model.
1. If you have a model, why don't you have a screenshot of it?
2. The TF2 Team makes the stats for accepted weapons.
3. While this is a neat concept for a weapon, this isn't really the place for it nor uncompleted work.
If you really wanted to get some progress done on this weapon I recommend you going to Facepunch, finding the TF2 section, and going to the Emporium to look for some help.
